Omolayo dressed like a Wizkid, complete with a long scarf hanging from his back pocket and a face cap turned backwards, started Wizkid’s ‘Loke loke’ not only looking the part but also sounding true to character.
The enthralling ability of whizzy that holds down any audience, be they in Naija or Amsterdam seemed to have been transferred to Omolayo as he went through the lines of the song as if they had been written for him originally. If not for Whizzy’s smooth flow into the mix anyone would have said it was Wizkid himself who was singing.
The audience were in the grove and Wizkid didn’t want it to stop and sang the chorus several times to end a superb collabo performance.
