Dappy's Blog: New Event : Lynxxx, Seyi Shey, Praiz, Efa and More Party Hard With Crystals At Their Elevated Album Launch

Naija’s fun band with the ‘crystal effect’ ; *Crystals* set tongues wagging some days back as they launched their debut ‘Elevated’ album in conjunction with Industry Nite at Gidi’s premium Go Carting spot ‘Get Arena’.

The well attended event was a cresendoing mash of diverse melodious live sounds delivered amidst the kind of edgy pomp one would expect from a young and interesting band like Crystals.

Some of the celebrities who graced the event include Lynxxx, OJB Jezreel, Samklef, Praiz, Benny Paladin, and Dj Caise. Others are Seyi Shey, Efa and Butafly (who gave dazzling performances much to the delight of the audience).

Crystal’s Elevated album launch which climaxed with an infectious live performance by the band was hosted by Jimmie of Beat FM and put together by Now Muzik in conjunction with El Carnaval, The Beat 99.9 FM, Spinlet and Trace TV.

Crystals is a Nigerian boy and girl band, consisting of 6 members ; rapper (Romeo) , two female lead vocalists ( Slimberry , Apholyzty), drummer (Emma Blow), keyboardist(Dammy Keys) and bass guitarist( G Base) .

They signed with the Efe Omorogbe led record label ; Now Muzik Records after being formed and finishing first in the eighth series of the Nigerian singing competition Star Quest in 2012.

Becoming a prominent figure in mainstream popular music and youth culture, their first single Gbe sun mo mi (2012), captured the hearts of many media personalities and fans while their newest single ‘Ringtone’ is topping radio and video charts across the country.

The Elevated Album features banging tracks produced by OJB Jezreel, Samklef, Del B, Shizzy and Harry song among others and is currently on sale across different stores in Nigeria as well as many online music stores across the continent.
