The Copyright Society of Nigeria has remained in the news this week after unveiling plans for its COSON Week 2013 at a star studded conference which took place at Protea Hotel in G.R.A, Ikeja. The conference had in attendance musical heavy weights such as Rugged Man to Banky W, Weird Mc, Chidinma, Kofi, Ras Kimono, KSB, Nomoreloss, Evaezi, Azeezat, Segun Obe. Actors such as Ikeagwu Kalu, Femi Brainard and Alex Okoroji also graced the event. The Copyright Society of Nigeria is a free membership non-profit body that protects the rights of member artistes from abuse and exploitation. The COSON week is a week set aside by COSON and its members to give back to the society and impact on the environment positively. The 2013 Coson Week begins on Sunday, May 19 with COSON in the Church, to be followed by The COSON Lecture on Monday, May 20.
On Tuesday, May 21, Lagosians will enjoy a special treat as COSON hits the Streets of Lagos for its COSON on the Streets activities. Wednesday, May 22 will play host to the COSON Green Ball at the Muson Centre with THE COSON All Star Table Tennis Blow Out following suit on Thursday, May 23. On Friday, May 24, all Muslim members of COSON throughout the Federation will be at the Mosque to worship like never before. The week will end with a spectacular event tagged the 1st COSON Song Awards at The New Expo Hall of Eko Hotel & Suites.
