On August 13, 2013, Kenyan president, Uhuru Kenyatta attended Miss Karun’s listening party for her upcoming album. The event held at Muthiaga Golf Club, Nairobi.
The head of diaspora and new media relations in the government, Dennis Itumbi had earleir confirmed on twitter that the president would be present at the party. The 19-year-old beauty has made history by being the first contemporary Kenyan artiste to have a sitting president at an album launch. She’s also the first Kenyan to ever be nominated for the BET Awards
This is Miss Karun’s first solo project since her former group Camp Mulla broke up earlier this year. Her upcoming self-titled album will drop on August 16
