Have you noticed that virtually all the Nigerian musical videos have nude/half naked ladies/dancers in them.
Apart from the fact that all you ever hear in the lyrics of the song is “Oya shake your booby…or sexy lady or im hotter than fire…or touch something” you know…lyrics that are almost absolutely senseless, the videos only worsen matters.
Everything has been bastardized today, as long as the song has got a beating that one can dance to, Nigerians really don’t care about the lyrics.
There is now this craze for the use of half-naked girls in the musical videos, that is, if half naked girls have not apeared in the musical video then it is not a musical video.
You see ladies in transparent lingeries twisting and whinning for 3minutes and that’s all you get to learn from the video.
The other day I was watching a musical program and virtually all the musical videos played had the same theme. You see a set of half naked ladies dancing and shaking their ‘front” and ‘back’. 90% of the music videos shot in Nigeria today lack creativity!!!
We should come up with ‘meaningful videos”…the upcoming artistes should take lessons from Asha’s videos and even that of TY Bello etc.
The other day, Kenny Saint Brown now Kenny Saint Best blasted Don Jazzy and his cohorts, warning them to desist from using nude girls in their videos but it’s like they have turned deaf ears to her warnings…Really, it’s high time we put a stop to all this, what are we teaching the kids…We are much more better than having nude girls appear in our musical videos!!!
